Inventory adjustment view

Inventory > Journals> Adjustments > Edit an adjustment journal

What is the view used for?

  • To view edit and create adjustments in the journal.
  • Inventory adjustments can be negative for and example if something broke or positive if the inventory should be added to.
  • The list of adjustments can be filtered and searched.

Search filter

Inventory adjustments can be searched for in a filtered search. One filtering line is added for each type of filter. You can even save your preferred filtering settings and they will be available when you open any of the journal line views.

 
Fields & buttons Description
Status Selecting this options allows you to search for orders that are either All statuses which is the default setting, Openor Posted.

Description

Enter a test to search for in the description of the item

  • Begins with: Selecting this option allows you to search for the beginning of a value in the field Description and. (This is the default setting) .
  • Contains: Selecting this option allows you to search for the number or letters in field Description. This field is only visible for types that allow free text search.
Variant

Enter a test to search for in the variant description of the item

  • Begins with: Selecting this option allows you to search for the beginning of a value in the field Variant and. (This is the default setting) .
  • Contains: Selecting this option allows you to search for the number or letters in field Variant. This field is only visible for types that allow free text search.
Quantity

Enter a number to search for an inventory adjustment based on the adjusted quantity

  • Equals: Finds all adjustment with this exact quantity adjusted
  • Greater than: Finds all adjustments which have a larger quantity adjusted.
  • Lower than: Finds all adjustments with lower quantities.
Unit Search for an adjustment based on the unit of the adjusted item.
Reason code Search for an adjustment based on the reason code of the adjustment
Posted date Search for an adjustment based on the date the adjustment was done.
Staff Search for an adjustment based on the user that did the adjustment.
Area Not applicable to inventory adjustments.

If there are more than one line press this button to delete a search criteria.

You can also unselect the check box to exclude a criteria from the search.

Press this button to add search criteria and narrow the filter.

The following actions are available from a drop down menu when this button is pressed.

  • Save as default layout: The search lines you have selected will be saved to the view and opened when this view is opened.
  • Load default layout: If you have edited the search settings since you last opened the Retail items view select this option to reload the saved layout.
  • Reset: Select this option to reset the layout to be as displayed in image above.
  • Toggle button locations: Select this option to set the and buttons in front of the filter type.
Button:
Search		 Press this button or hit enter button on keyboard to search for an item with the filters set.

List of adjustments

Fields & buttons Description
Status (as a "dot" image)

Displays adjustment status:

  • Posted - Inventory adjustments are posted and have affected the inventory status as soon as they are created in the system.
ID Displays the ID of the item being adjusted.
Description Displays the desciption of the adjusted item
Variant If the item is a variant item this field displays the variant description of the adjusted item.
Quantity Displays the quantity (positive or negative) of the adjustment.
Unit Displays which unit of measure of the item the adjustment was done for.
Reason Displays the reason code selected for this inventory adjustment.
Posted Displays the date the adjustment was done.
Staff Displays the staff that created the adjustment line.
Area Not applicable to inventory adjustments.
Edit The adjustment lines cannot be edited and therefore this button is disabled.
Add Press this button to create a new inventory adjustment.
Delete Inventory adjustment lines cannot be deleted and therefore this button is disabled.
Fields & buttons Description
Status Displays the status of the inventory adjustment journal. Inventory adjustment journals have the status open until they are archived.
ID Displays the ID of the inventory adjustment journal
Description Displays the description of the inventory adjustment journal
Store Displays which store the inventory adjustment journal is for.
