What is the view used for?

  • In the display profile you configure what information is being displayed on the KDS screens
  • For line displays you configure which columns are shown in the order list
  • For chit displays you configure what information about the Kitchen order is displayed in the header and footer of the KOT/chit.

This view changes depending what display mode is selected in the header:

Each data type contains a set of field data to be added as a column to the line display list view

Data type KDS

  • Actual production time - The production time of the item counted down. Starts when sent to the kitchen

  • Item time on station - A timer that is started when the item is sent to the kitchen.

  • Production time - A timer that is started when the item is sent to the kitchen.

  • Station letter status - Displays the abbrevation letters for all previous stations for the items in each line. The abbrevation letter changes styles when the item is bumped/done on all previous stations.

Data type KOT

  • Customer name - If a customer was added to the transaction the customer first name will be displayed on the order line

  • Employee name - The name of the employee that took the order in the POS and sent it to the kitchen. The receipt display name will be displayed if it exists otherwise the Name of the employee.

  • ID - The transaction ID of the order.

  • Item modifiers - Item comments and item modifiers are displayed in this column.

  • Item name - The item description

  • Item quantity - The ordered qty of the item

  • Order status - Not in use

  • Table number - Shows the table number of the order. If the POS is over the counter it will display the order number which are the 3 last digits in the transaction ID.

Caption Enter a text that will be displayed in the header of the order list for this column.
Alignment Select the alignment of the column.
Width % Enter the size of the column.
Style

Select a style for the column. (these styles are not being applied to the KDS in LS One at the moment)

Configure the display lines of the display profile

Fields & buttons Description
Lines  
No. Auto incremented number of the line.
Type The type of the line.
Add Select this button to create a new line either for the header or footer of the chit
Delete Highlight a line and select this button to delete a line.
Columns The columns of the selected header/footer line in the upper list

Alignment Select the alignment of the column.
Width % Enter the size of the column.
Style

Select a style for the column. The font settings and background colors are applied to each part of the chit header/footer.
Edit Highlight a column line and select this button to edit the column.
Add Select this button to create a new column.
Delete Highlight a line and select this button to delete a column.
