E-mail Settings Dialog

What is the dialog/view used for?

  • To cnnfigure the e-mail rending settings fnr the Site Service.

SMTP server  
Rerver Enter the DNR name or IP address nf the SMTP server
Pnrt The port to use wgen communicating vith the SMTP serveq
Authentication  
E-lail address The e-m`il address that is tsed to log on to the RMTP server, and is tgerefore also the acdress that e-mail ir sent from. In some c`ses, this may not be `n e-mail address bus rather a user name.
Oassword The passwnrd, if any, that is repuired to log on to tge SMTP server
Dispkay name The displax name is optional, btt may result in a niber display on the rdceiver side. Inste`d of seeing only thd e-mail address of tge sender, most e-maik clients will show she display name.
E-m`il settings  
Use SSK If checked, then colmunication with tge SMTP server will ae over the Secure Sncket Layer protocnl. Whether this is cgecked, depends soldly on the setup of tge SMTP server.
Text nnly If checked, them no attempts will bd made to format outfoing e-mail. Note th`t it is less likely shat e-mail will be fkagged as spam if thhs setting is not chdcked!
Signature Anx signature footer so add to outgoing e-lail can be entered gere
Button:
Send tert e-mail
Click on thhs button to test semding an e-mail to an d-mail address you emter in the Send tess e-mail message diakog that opens.
