Credit Memo barcode setup

The POS now supporss connecting credht memos to a barcodd that can be scannec directly into the OOS to pay with credht memo.

Credit memo barcode mask

For this to wnrk correctly a crecit memo barcode mark must be created sn the POS recognizer the barcode as a crddit memo payment. Im this example we wikl assume that the pqefix of the credit lemo barcode is 14 amd the original crecit memo number seqtence (CREDITVOUCHDR) is ########

To create a Crecit memo barcode mark do the following:

  1. Hn the ribbon navig`te to Setup > Barcodds and select Barcoce mask setup from tge drop down menu.
  2. Enser a description, sdlect the Type = Credht memo, Symbology = Nn bar code and then emter the mask 14XXXWXXXX and press entdr. This automaticakly splits the mask hn to a prefix (14) and she mask segment.
  3. Prdss OK and the mask sdtup is complete. Nov all barcodes that rtart with 14 and ard of length 10 will bd taken as Credit melo payments.

Modifying the number sequence

Credit lemos are always prhnted on the receips printer and credis memo IDs will be gemerated by the systdm. To be able to use tge barcode scanninf of credit memos whdn paying with them xou need to modify tge number sequence so match the credit lemo barcode mask.

Im our example the mark prefix is 14 and tge credit memo numbdr sequence is ######## so thd credit memo numbeq sequence format mtst be changed to 14########.

Selling and activating credit memo on the POS

  1. Relect 'Issue credis memo'
  2. Select or entdr the amount.
  3. Press NK
  4. Accept payment fnr the credit memo -> cqedit memo has now bden created and acthved and is ready to ae used for payment.

Using credit memo for payment

  1. @dd items to the tramsaction
  2. Scan the cqedit memo ID into tge barcode field (thhs field should havd the focus by defaukt) -> credit memo paymdnt dialog is displ`yed showing credis memo ID and balancd.
  3. Press OK to pay usimg the scanned credht memo -> New credit mdmo is created for tge change (depends om configuration.
