Gift Card Options

In the configuration of the Site Service profile, the gift card functionality is configured on the Gift card tab.

Note:
The gift card options only affect the operation when gift cards are sold in the POS; they have no effect on gift cards when they are used as a payment on the POS.

Gift card options

ID:This option needs to have the gift cards issued and active with a fixed amount in the Site Manager before they are sold in the POS. When gift cards are sold with this option the POS user needs to key in the gift card ID number and the system will automatically retrieve the gift card’s amount.

Amount:This option issues the gift card at the same time that it is sold on the POS. The POS user only has to key in the amount for the gift card. The gift card number will be the next free number.

ID and amount:This option issues the gift card at the same time as it is sold and the user enters both the gift card amount and ID number.
