What is the view used for?

  • View the list of forms that are available. Edit and delete existing forms and add new ones. Forms that are being used in a form profile cannot be deleted.

  • It is recommended in setup that you insert the Forms demo data which is included in the default data package as well. This gives you a start for some forms that you can then edit.

Form layouts can be filtered using the search control. One filtering line is added for each type of filter. You can even save your preferred filtering settings and they will be available when you open the Form layouts view.

Fields & buttons Description

Description

Filter by the description of the form layout or by the description of the type used by the layout.

  • Begins with: Selecting this option allows you to search for the beginning of the form's description
  • Contains: Selecting this option allows you to search for a matching text sequence within the form's description

System layout

Filter form layouts by the system layout flag.

If there are more than one line press this button to delete a search criteria

You can also deselect the check box to exclude a criteria from the search

Press this button to add search criteria and narrow the filter.

The following actions are available from a drop down menu when this button is pressed

  • Save as default layout: The search lines you have selected will be saved to the view and opened when this view is opened
  • Load default layout: If you have edited the search settings since you last opened the Gift cards view select this option to reload the saved layout
  • Reset: Select this option to reset the layout to be as displayed in image above
  • Toggle button locations: Select this option to set the and buttons in front of the filter type
Button:
Search		 Press this button or hit enter button on keyboard to search for an item with the filters set
Fields & buttons Description
Type The type of form.
Description The specific description of your form.
System layout Specifies if the form is created by the system.
Button: Import Select this button to import layouts that have been exported. When the button is pressed a file browser opens. Browse to your .form file select it and press open. Then new layouts are imported to your system.
Button: Export Select this button to export the selected layouts available in the system. When the button is pressed a file browser opens. Enter a name for the export and select the place for it to be saved. This file will get the .form ending and can be imported into any other LS One setups.
Edit Highlight the form line and click on the edit button to edit the form.
Add Click on the add button to add a new form.
Delete Highlight the form line and click on the delete button to delete the form. Forms that are being used in a form profile cannot be deleted.
