Pos Menu Button View
General setup > Hospitality > Hospitality POS menus > Add/edit button in lower pane
What is the view used for?
- This view is used to setup and edit individual buttons on the POS menu.
Fields & buttons | Description |
---|---|
Key Number | The number of the key in the order which it appears on the button grid. |
Description | The button description. |
Style | Select a style for the button from the list menu. |
Operation | Select an operation for the button from the list menu. (Link to Operations list) |
Parameter | Select a parameter for the operation. This is unavailable for some operations. |

Background hidden | Select this check box to hide the background . |
Transparent | Select this check box if you would like the button to be transparent. |
Column Span | Enter the number of columns you would like the buttons to span. Note that if you type in a number that is higher than the available number of spaces in the column span, the button will simply try and take up as much space as it can. |
Row Span | Enter the number of rows you would like the buttons to span. Note that if you type in a number that is higher than the available number of spaces in the row span, the button will simply try and take up as much space as it can. |

Use header configuration | Select this check box to use the menu header configuration for fonts. If you clear the check box for the Use Header Configuration you can choose from the other options available on the Font tab. |
Font name | Displays the font name. |

Select this button to edit the font type. |
Font size | Edit the font size by typing directly into this number box. |
Font bold | Select this check box to make the font bold. |
Font italic | Select this check box to make the font italic. |
Font strike-through | Select this check box to put a strikethrough line through the font. |
Font underline | Select this check box to underline the font. |
Font color | Select box to choose a new color. |

Select the gradient mode from the list menu:

Back color | Select box to choose a color for the button. |
Back color 2 | Select box to choose a second color for the button. |

Select a shape from the drop-down-list:

Glyphs |

Glyph | Select a glyph from the drop-down-list. If you select “Text” from the Glyph list the following options will be available to you: |
Glyph Text | Enter the text that you want displayed. |
Glyph Font | Displays the glyph font. |

Select the edit button to edit the glyph font. |
Size | Edit the size of the glyph font by entering numbers into this number box. |
Glyph Color | Select box to choose a color for the glyph. |
Offset | The higher the number entered into this box the more the glyph is offset from the area that it is assigned to. For example, if a glyph is assigned to the top left corner of the button, then the offset moves it to the bottom right of the button. |
