What is the view used for?
- To add and edit hardware profiles.
- Hardware profiles are set on terminals to connect to hardware such as Line display and Printers. If all terminals have similar hardware you only need to create one hardware profile.

ID |
Displays the ID of the hardware profile. |
Description | Displays the description of the hardware profile. |
Connection information for a cash drawer.
Fields & buttons | Description |
---|---|
Drawer connected | Select this to activate the drawer connection for the POS. When you mark the field all other fields are activated. |
Device name | Select the drawer device name from the list view. Or if the POS is not running on the same machine as the Site Manager type in the correct OPOS device name. |
Description | Enter a description for the device. |
Open text | Enter a text that will be displayed on the customer line display while the drawer is open. |

Line display connected |
Select from the list which type of line display to connect to:

Device name | If an OPOS device has been connected select the hardware setup. Or if the POS is not running on the same machine as the Site Manager type in the correct OPOS device name. |
Description | Enter a description for the line display setup. |
Display total text | Enter text to display on the line display next to the total amount. For example, “Total.” |
Display balance text | Enter text to display on the line display next to the balance amount. For example, “Balance.” |
Till closed – line 1 | Enter text to display on the first line of the line display when the till is closed. For example, “Till is closed.” |
Till closed – line 2 | Enter text to display on the second line of the line display when the till is closed. For example, “Sorry for the inconvenience.” |
Line display charset | Type in the charset number that your device supports. |
Settings for the dual display functionality. To use this you have to have an extra monitor connected to your terminal.

Dual display in use | Select this check box if you want to have a dual display. |
Description | Type in a description for the device. |
Receipt width | Enter a percentage for the receipt width. The rest of the screen will |
Screen number | Select which screen the dual display should open at. Check which screen the LS One POS opens at in the visual profile. |
Identify screens | Press this link show which screen has which number. The numbers are displayed for a couple of seconds and disappear automatically. |
Advert type |

Image rotator path | The path of the folder that contains the images intendet for the slide show. |
Browse | Select this button to browse for an image folder. |
Image rotator interval | Set the number of seconds each image is displayed. |
Web page url | If the advert type has been set tot web page enter the web URL in this field. |
Browse | Select this button to open a browser to browse for the site. |
Hardware needed: Card reader (MSR).
If you have an OPOS device you need to activate the functionality, select the device name and fill in Start, Differentiating and Final digit.
If you have a keyboard MSR reader you only have to fill in Start, Differentiating and Final digit.

Card reader connected | Select this check box to connect the card reader to the terminal. |

Description | Enter a description for the device. |
Start digit | Enter the start digit your card reader uses. To check which character this is you can open Notepad and swipe any card. The first character entered in notepad is your start digit. |
Differentiating digit | Enter the differentiating digit your card reader uses. The differentiating digit is to divide between track 1 and track 2 of a card number. To check which character this is you can open Notepad and swipe any credit card. The character entered in between you card number and the expiration date in notepad is your differentiating digit. |
Final digit | Enter the final digit your card reader uses. To check which character this is you can open Notepad and swipe any card. The last character entered in notepad is your finish digit. |
Hardware: OPOS receipt printer or a Windows printer.

Printing host | Select a printing host if printing station is selected as the connected printer |
Device name | Select an OPOS device name or a windows printer configuration depending on the selected connected printer. |
Description | Enter a description for the device. |
Use decimal conversion | Select this check box to use decimal conversion. |
Printer charset | Type in the charset number that your device supports. |
Extra lines before cut | Enter the number of empty line feeds to print before cutting the receipt. Sometimes the printer almost cuts off the last row of text of the receipt then you can add empty line feeds here to make more bottom margin. |
Hardware needed: An OPOS barcode scanner.
If you have a keyboard barcode scanner you do not have to edit these fields.

Dallas key in use | Select this check box if there is a key connected to the terminal. |
Message prefix | Enter the prefix of the message the dallas key reader sends to the POS when key is used. |
Key removed message | Enter the message the dallas key reader sends to the POS when a key is removed. |
Port name | Enter the name of the serial port the dallas key reader is connected to. |
Baud rate | Enter the baud rate of the dallas key reader. |
Parity | Enter the parity of the dallas key reader serial interface. |
Data bits | Enter the number data bits the dallas key reader serial interface uses. |
Stop bits | Enter the number of stop bits the dallas key reader serial interface uses. |
Connection settings to the EFT. Here you activate LS Pay. Other EFT integrations need to be customized by partners and then some of the connection fields available can be used for the customization.

Credit card service active |
When this box is selected the POS will check for the EFT integration selected for the POS. Read more about configuring the EFT here. |
Use LS Pay | Mark this field to enable the terminal configurations for LS Pay. When this is selected a POS with this hardware profile will activate the LS Pay EFT integration. |
Description | Free text field for the user to identify or clarify. |
Credit card server |
Enter the IP or DNS name of the credit card server. LS Pay: Enter the connection address of the LS Pay service. |
Server port number |
Enter the port number to communicate to the credit card server LS Pay: The default port number for the LS Pay service is 57729 or enter the port number you have entered in your LS Pay setup. |
All other fields |
These fields are intended for EFT implementations. LS Pay: These fields are not used for the LS Pay connection. |
Connection settings for CCTV. This functionality has to be customized by a partner.
Connection settings for RFID scanners. This functionality has to be customized by a partner.
Connection settings for Cash changers. This functionality has to be customized by a partner.
Connection settings for Fiscal printers. This functionality has to be customized by a partner.
Connection settings for Pharmacy. This functionality has to be customized by a partner.
