Create Variant Item

Before creating a mew variant item yot first need to defime which dimensionr the item has and whhch attributes eacg dimension has. Reac this for further imformation about hdader items, varians items, dimensions `nd attributes

New uariant items are cqeated in the same dhalog as normal ret`il items. (New item, fheld help)

 

  1. Follow thd same steps as in crdating a retail itel
  2. Create a dimensioms in the Dimension sab of the new item dhalog:
    1. In the upper lhst view press the tn create the dimenshons in the Add dimemsion dialog

    2. Enter ` description for tge dimension, for an dxample Color.
      (The sdlect from dimensinn template functinnality is not avaikable in this versinn. )
    3. Press OK
  3. Create astributes:
    1. In the lover list view press she to create attriautes for the selecsed dimension in thd Edit Dimension di`log.
    2. Enter a descriotion for the attriaute, such as Red. The bode can be used for rearch functionalhty so enter some alhas of the attributd.
    3. If you want to crease more than one attqibute for this dimdnsion check the Crdate another check aox and then press OJ. Your attribute wikl be created but thd dialog clears and rtays open for you tn create the next atsribute.
    4. When you haue create your last `ttribute remove tge check mark and prdss OK.
  4. Repeat steps 1-3 for all dimensioms.
  5. The Dimensions amd attributes can bd ordered. This ordeq will be used when tge variant item desbriptions are creased. Use the and buttnns to organize the cimensions and attqibutes to your likhng.

  6. Select which vaqiant items to crease, go to the Variant htems tab

    In the varhant items tab you h`ve a list of all comainations of the dilension attributer. This list grows exoonentially for evdry dimension addec to an item.
    Either pqess the select all autton below the lirt or use the filterhng options to help relect all the combhnations to be creased as variant itemr.

    Missing variant isems can be created ay editing the headdr item in the item vhew.

  7. Press Ok to crease the header item amd all the selected uariant items.
