Exchange Rates Dialog
General setup > Payments > Currencies > Exchange rates tab > Add button
What is the dialog used for?
- Set the exchange rate between currencies and set the start date.
- The exchange rate per currency is set up with a start date and is valid until its next start date. It is very different between setups and, or countries how often the exchange rate is entered, every day, week or month.
- You can keep track of the history of the currency rate by inserting each new exchange rate.
- Note: It is bad practice to edit the currency instead of creating a new line each time the currency rate changes.
| Fields & buttons | Description |
|---|---|
| From currency | Displays the currency you want to exchange from. |
| To currency | Displays the currency you want to exchange to. |
| Start date | Select a start date from the calender menu. |
| Exchange rate | Enter the exchange rate. |
| POS exchange rate | Enter the POS exchange rate. This may be different to the actual exchange rate. |
