Create Assembly Item
New assembly items are created in the same dialog as normal retail items. (New item, field help)
- Assembly items are created by using the same steps as in creating a retail item except you select assembly item as an item type.
- Create assemblies in the Assemblies tab of the new item dialog:
- In the upper list view press the
to create the assembly in the Add/Edit Assembly dialog
- Enter a description for the assembly.
- Select if you want the assembly to belong to a specific store or to all stores.
- Select the starting date you want the assembly to become active for the store/stores.
- Use the copy from dropdown list if you want this assembly to copy it's settings and components from another previously created assembly.
- Enter the price information for the assembly.
- If you are creating an assembly that is copied from a previously created assembly the profit margin will be calculated from the component price, depending on the price that has been entered. You can also enter a number into the profit margin field and the price will be calculated from the component prices according to the profit margin.
- If you are creating an assembly that is not copied from a previously created assembly the profit margin will become 100% after you've created the assembly because it does not have any component prices.
- Choose if you want to show the components of the assembly on the POS, receipt or stations.
- Select the option to calculate price from components if you want the price of the assembly to be a calculated sum of its components.
- Press OK.
- In the lower list view press the
