Send a transfer order in the POS
When you want to send inventory from your store to another store you create a transfer order. A transfer order can be created from scratch or you can create the order based on a transfer request you have received.
It is now possible to create, edit and send transfer orders both in the Site Manager and the LS One POS
Create a new transfer order in POS
It is also possible to create a transfer order with out receiving a request first.
To create a transfer order:
- You need a POS button in your layout with POS operation: Transfer request, parameter: Outgoing. (See how to edit your layout)
In the standard demo data layouts press button Inventory and then button Send transfer order. Press the button to open a list of all your open transfer orders. - In the Send transfer order dialog press the
add button to create a new transfer order.
- A dialog opens where you fill in the header information for the request.
- Create options
- Create new - Creates a blank transfer order for you to add the items you need.
- Create from template - Creates a transfer order including the items and settings from the inventory template.
- Create from open request - Create a transfer order from a transfer request your store has received. This can also be done from the list of received transfer requests.
- Create from existing order- Copies the items and settings from an old transfer order.
- Copy from - When creating form template or existing request or order make your selection here.
- Description - Enter a description for your order. The description is displayed in all lists of orders.
- To store - Select which store to send the inventory to.
- Due date - Pick the preferred date to get the items.
- Create options
- Press the Next button to create your order.
- Scan, enter or search for the items you want to add to your transfer order.
You can edit the quantity and unit of each line. The inventory of the selected item at your location is displayed.
You can go back and edit the order header details by pressing the Order details button. - If you have a long list of items and you want more room to view the list you can collapse the information panel at the bottom by pressing the
button. Press the same button again to expand the information panel.
- If you want to save your order to edit and send it off later press the Close button or if you are finished you can send your order. Now your order is available both in the LS One POS and in the Site Manager.
Send a transfer order
- In you layout you need a POS button with POS operation: Transfer order, parameter: Outgoing. (See how to edit your layout)
In the standard demo data layouts press button Inventory and then button Send transfer order. -
Now the Send transfer order dialog is open displaying a list of all open transfer orders from your store.
- Find and select the transfer order to be sent and press Send.
If needed you can also open the order first by pressing the edit buttonand pressing the Send button after editing is done.
- Now your request has been sent and the store you are sending inventory to can receive the transfer order either in the LS One POS or in the Site Manager

When a transfer order has been sent and not yet received, that is it is In transit, it can be viewed in the Site Manager.

The last step is to receive the transfer order in the LS One POS
