Customer ID View
Retail > Customers > Customers > Highlight a customer and select Edit button
What is the view used for?
- The Customer view is used to manage a customer in the Site Manager.
Fields & buttons | Description |
---|---|
ID | The ID of the customer. |
Name | Split into Name prefix, First name, Middle name, Last Name and Name suffix. |
Display name | This is the name that the POS uses when referring to customer name. It changes according to the changes that you make to the name field. |

Default | Displays a green circle if the address is the default one. |
Type |
Displays the address type. |
Contact | Displays the name of the contact. |
Phone | Displays the contact's phone number. |
Mobile | Displays the contact's mobile number. |
Displays the contact's e-mail address. | |
Address | Displays the address. |
Sales tax group | Displays the customer's sales tax group. |
Edit | Highlight a line and select this button to edit the customer address. Opens Customer address dialog. |
Add | Select this button to create a new address. Opens Customer address dialog. |
Delete | Highlight a line and select this button to delete a customer address. |
[Link] Set as default | Set the selected address as default. |

Invoice customer | Select the customer that should be invoiced on this account. |
Identification number | Enter/edit an identification number for this customer account. |
Search alias | Enter/edit a search alias for this customer account. |
Language code | Information field about the customer’s nationality or language preference. |
Receipt e-mail | The e-mail address used to send the customer a receipt if that option is set in Receipt options. |
Receipt option

How the customer will receive a receipt. The options are:
To be able to send the receipts as emails the Site Service and the POS need to configured to send emails. |
Currency | The default currency on the POS. |
Edit | Click on this button to edit or add a currency. Opens Currencies View. |
VAT number | The customer’s VAT number. For informational purposes only. Can be printed on the receipt |
Tax exempt | If selected then if the customer is selected on a sale in the POS then no tax is calculated. If the tax exempt functionality should calculate for example a 0% tax code then a default tax exempt tax group can be set on the Store management configurations. |
Sales tax group |
The customer’s sales tax group. If tax exempt is selected then this value is the default tax exempt tax group that is set in Store management configurations. Settings on the Price / tax calculations (Store view) control if this tax group is used to calculate the tax the customer receives on items or it is ignored and the sales tax group on the store is always used. |
Edit | Click on this button to edit or add a sales tax group. Opens Customer and store sales tax group view. |

Cash customer | Select this check box if the customer is allowed to use cash. |
Gender | Select the customer's gender. N/A, female or male. |
Date of birth | Select the customer's birthday. |

Edit | Click on this button to open Customer discount groups view. |
Currency | The currency that the discount is in. |
Type | The type of discount, line discount, for example. |
Customer connection | How the discount is connected to the customer, either it applies to all customers, a customer group or an individual customer. |
Item connection | The item that the discount is on. You can select an individual item, item group or all items. |
Variant | If the discount has been applied to a variant of the item, it will be shown here. |
Unit | The unit in which the item that has the discount is sold. |
From date | The date from which the discount becomes valid. |
To date | The date to which the discount is valid. |
Amount | The quantity of items that need to be sold in order to apply the discount. |
Discount amount | The discount amount. |
Discount % (1) | The primary discount percentage, if there are two discount percentages, this is the first to be taken off the item. |
Discount % (2) | The secondary discount percentage, this percentage is taken off the total amount after the first discount percent has been taken off. For example, if the items total value is 100, %1 is 10% and %2 is 10%, the calculation would be 100 – 10% = 90, then 90 – 10% = 81, so the end total of the item, after the discount would be 81. |
View item | Highlighting a line that has an Item in Item Connection and then clicking on this button takes you to the retail item card where you can view and edit the item. |
View customer group | Highlighting a line that has a Group in Customer Connection and then clicking on this button takes you to the price/discount groups view where you can view and edit the groups that the customer belongs to. |
View item group | Highlighting a line that has a Group in Item Connection and then clicking on this button takes you to the Item discount group view where you can view and edit the Item discount groups. |
Edit | View or edit the selected line. |
Add | Add a trade agreement. Opens Add trade agreement dialog. |
Delete | Remove a trade agreement. |
Displays the settings that limit discounted purchases for the customer.

Price group | Choose a price group from the drop-down menu. |
Edit | Edit or add price groups. |
Currency | The currency that the store uses as default. |
Type | The type of discount. |
Customer connection | How the sales price is connected to the customer, either it applies to all customers, a customer group or an individual customer. |
Item connection | The way in which the item is connected to the sales price. It can be connected individually, through a group or as All Items. |
Variant | If the sales price has been applied to a variant of the item, it will be shown here. |
Unit | The unit in which the item is sold. |
From date | The date from which the sales price for the customer becomes valid. |
To date | The date to which the sales price for the customer is valid. |
Quantity | The quantity of items that need to be sold for the sales price to apply. |
Price | The sales price as set specifically for the customer. This overrides the item sales price. |
Price with tax | The customer sales price of the item with tax included. |
View item | Highlighting a line that has an Item in Item Connection and then clicking on this button takes you to the retail item card where you can view and edit the item. |
View customer group | Highlighting a line that has a Group in Customer Connection and then clicking on this button takes you to the price/discount groups view where you can view and edit the groups that the customer belongs to. |
Edit | View or edit the selected line. |
Add | Add a Sales Price Trade Agreement. |
Delete | Remove a Sales Price Trade Agreement. |

Credit limit | Enter or edit the customer’s credit limit. |
Balance | Displays the balance available on the account. |
Total sales | Displays the total amount in sales. |

The following actions are available from a drop down menu when this button is pressed.

Search | Press this button or hit enter button on keyboard to search for an item with the filters set. |
Date | Displays the date of the record. |
Type | Displays the type of transaction: Invoice, Payment, Discount. |
Amount | Displays the amount in the transaction. |
For payment | Displays the remaining amount for payment in the customer balance. |
Status | The status of the account balance can be closed or open. If the remaining amount is at zero, the status is closed. If it is in credit or needs a payment, it is open. |
Store | Displays the store ID. |
Terminal | Displays the terminal ID. |
Document No. | Displays the document number. |
Description | Displays the description of the transaction, if entered. |
Back | See previous transactions for this customer. |
Next | See more recent transactions for this customer. |
Add payment | Select this button to add a payment to the customer ledger. This opens the Add payment into customer account dialog. |

Issued | The points issued on the card. |
Used | The points used on the card. |
Expired | The points expired on the card. This appears with a minus sign infront. |
Points balance | The current points status. The points that are currently available for use on the card. |
Card number | Displays the card number. |

Displays the type of tender issued on the card.

Scheme | Displays the name of the loyalty scheme on this card. The loyalty scheme decides how long the points take to expire, the use limit of the points and the default multiplier type. |

Status | The current points status. The points that are currently available for use on the card. |
Edit | Highlight a line and select this button to edit a loyalty card. This opens the Edit loyalty card dialog. |
Add | Select this button to select a loyalty card for the customer. This opens the Select loyalty card dialog. |

Filter the transaction by selecting a type:

Receipt number |
Displays the receipt number of the transaction. |
Loyalty points | Displays the number of loyalty points on the card. |
Remaining points | Displays the number of loyalty points currently on the card. |
Status |
Displays the card’s status:

Date | Displays the date that the transaction took place. |
Issued date | Displays the date that the card was issued. |
Store | Displays the store that the card was used in. |
Terminal | Displays the terminal that the card was used on. |
Card number | Displays the number of the card used. |
Scheme | Displays the scheme set to the card used. |
Expiration date | Displays the card expiration date. |
Employee | Displays the employee involved in the transaction. |
Select this button to scroll back through the loyalty transactions list. | |
Select this button to scroll forwards through the loyalty transactions list. |
