How to configure the units
To fulfill the requirements for the scale certification the units that can be used as weighing units need to be set and those units also need to fulfill specific requirements in regards to description and maximum number of decimals.
- Units of weight descriptions should always be singular, for an example "kg" not "kgs"
- Units of weight description should always be shown in lower case, for an example "kg" not "KG".
- For the kilos unit you also have to make sure that the minimum and maximum decimals are set to 3. Because 0,190 kg should always be displayed with three decimals and not 0,19 kg.
To fulfill these there are two separate settings that need to be configured; Units and Weight units.
Unit descriptions and number of decimals
Go to Setup -> Units -> Units and find the units setup for kilos and grams and change their description to kg and g. Select the weight units and make sure that they are configured according to the requirements here above.
Weight unit
When a scale is attached to the LS One POS your unit conversion factors between kilos and grams or pounds and ounces will not be used. Therefore you have to tell the system which units you have setup to use for these measurements.
In the ribbon go to Tools > Administration Options > Scale units. Select the unit you use for kg, g, pounds and/or ounces depending on which units you are using.
